Boozy Snickerdoodle Cake with Apples

If you haven't noticed, I love a moist cake. Usually because when it's moist, that's the alcohol oozing out like sweet nectar of the gods. In this case, it's a bourbon-based syrup that can be used on ice cream... waffles... or even directly into your mouth. (What... you don't do that??)
